Good game. We played well, but, as happens so often, the underdogs started with more attack and Oxford started too complacent. Then they adjusted after half-time and we lost focus a bit. But, we had lots of corners. Is it unfair to say that corners are not our strongest point?
It was a good day, tempered a bit by the fact that the M25 is currently being dug up and converted to a multi storey carpark. Here are some photos.
Firstly Steve and his new wife enjoying the game. Then the entry of the gladiators. Then 2 shots of (who knows?) the type of stadium that might, one day, be at Thurrock (in yellow of course) Then a brief glimpse of the Thurrock glee club (stripped for action) They outsang the competition and clearly impressed them - and us of course. But, please ask them not to upset the competition. I can probably hold 10 back, but the rest they'll have to deal with....
Well done the lads.
